ABOUT SCB
A Thriving Community Connecting
People, Buildings and Things (IoT)
On A Mission to Transform the Real Estate Industry
The real estate industry is responsible for consuming a whopping 40% of energy globally, emitting 30% of the total greenhouse gas emissions in the process.
As a Community, we are particularly focused on helping real estate organisations adopt more sustainable practices. Equipping them with better technology to more efficiently measure, manage, act and report on their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data, and create built-environments that support better wellbeing for their users.

Turning Vision Into Reality

I’m really excited about helping property owners/managers to realise the true potential of their buildings and the built environment. I’m fully committed to understanding the true value digital transformation will deliver property owners and how next-generation wireless infrastructure will shape the internet of things (IoT).
Paul Bingham - Founder, Smart Connected Buildings
Paul Bingham is a property developer and investor with a 20+ year career operating across the technology, IT and telecoms sectors focused on delivering smart, connected wired and wireless infrastructure solutions to the UK Property Sector.
Having delivered connectivity solutions for 3 of the UKs top 5 property owners, he's now taking the ideas and best practices of these leading real estate companies, and making them accessible to the wider market, supporting developers of smaller (>20,000sq ft) environments as well as those in excess of 100,000sq ft - and everything in between.
He set up Smart Connected Buildings in response to the digital transformation challenges that he saw being faced by the UK’s real estate and construction industry.
As well as running the SCB Community, Paul also provides advisory services to building owners, managers and operators. Increasing asset value, generating revenue, and enhancing workplace productivity and living experiences in the process.
